Questionnaire results
Questionnaire
analysis
From these results you can see that the marketing of the
film plays a big part in if people will want to go and watch it, this is
something that I will take into consideration when making my film and making the
marketing products.
A question for my questionnaire was asking the people how
often they watch horror films. The options I gave them in the questionnaire
were; once a week, more than once a week, once a month, more than once a month
and never. The results are as followed:
-
For once
a week: I had one result which said they watch them once a week, this was a
total of 9.09%.
-
For more
than once a week: I had one results which said they watch them more than
once a week, this was a total of 9.09%.
-
Once a
month: I had 3 results which said they watch them once a month, this was a
total of 27.27%.
-
More than
once a month: I had 3 results which said they watch them more than once a
month, this was a total of 27.27%.
-
Never:
I had 3 results which said they never watch them, this was a total of 27.27%.
The results are split mainly between, once a month, more
than once a month and never for this question. Once a week and more than once a
week only managed to get one result, which shows this isn’t very common for
people according to this survey.
A question for my questionnaire was asking if people
actually like horror films. The options I gave was yes or no. The results are
as followed:
-
Yes: I
had 7 responses for people saying yes to liking horror films which came to
63.64%.
-
No: I
had 4 responses for people saying no to liking horror films which came to
36.36%.
The results show that more people on this questionnaire do
like horror films than those who don’t like as much.
A question for my questionnaire was asking people what their
favourite horror film is. The options I gave were; Nightmare on Elm Street,
Insidious, Women in black, Saw and the option for them to state any other
options. The results are as followed:
-
Nightmare
on Elm Street: I had 1 response for this movie stating this is their
favourite and this was a total of 9.09%.
-
Insidious:
I had 4 responses for this movie stating this is their favourite and this came to
a total of 36.36%.
-
Women in
black: I had 1 response for this movie stating this is their favourite and
this came to a total of 9.09%.
-
Saw: I
had 1 response for this movie stating this is their favourite and this came to
a total of 9.09%.
-
Other:
I had 4 responses for this, saying that there were other films that were their
favourite horror film, this came to a total of 36.36%. The options people gave
were; The shining, The boy, Sinister and The cabin in the woods.
The results show that a large portion of people who answered
this questionnaire are fans of insidious, but then again it shows the variety
of people’s favourite horror films as of having 4 responses for the other
category.
A question for my questionnaire was asking people where they
most often watch horror films. The options I gave were; cinema, home and a friend’s
house. Answers are as followed:
-
Cinema: I
had 2 responses which was 18.18%
-
Home: I
had 5 responses which was 45.45%
-
Friends house:
I had 4 responses which was 36.36%
From these results we can see that at home and a friend’s
house are the most popular places to watch horror movies. This may be to do
with not having to pay a significant amount of money to watch them at the
cinema, because cinemas now a days are very expensive places to go.
A question for my questionnaire was asking if people are
influenced by marketing. The options were either yes or no. The results are:
-
Yes: I
had 10 responses for this giving 90.91%
-
No: I
had 1 response for this giving 9.09%
